Rachid Alexander

Biography

Rachid Alexander, well educated Oriental dancer of Curacao was inspired by oriental dance when he was a little boy while visiting a theme park in the Netherlands. Back in Curacao he was trained by Zareefa al Noor,
took lessons at the MEDE (Middle Eastern dance exchange) and Bozenka's bellydance
school in Miami with other great dance teachers.

Highlights of his dance career includes; dancing in the Antilles and wining the first
price during the Talents show at the University of the Netherlands Antilles, performing
in the USA in top restaurants and clubs, in The Netherlands at the prestigious Amstel
hotel, Holland Casino and the annual Society lunch for many well known Dutch Stars, touring in the Dunya Festival, chosen as one of the best acts in 2500 auditioners in Holland?s got Talents, performances all over Europe in countries as Austria, Poland, Greece, France, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, interviewed by Canadian TV program Pink planet and many appearances in press and magazines. Beside that he is also a member/dancer of the international male oriental dance group Sultans Of Raqs
As a dynamic artist, Rachid still keeps training with his coach and costume designer Wendell Elisabeth to stay tune in his dance.

Rachid also teach workshops and lessons.
